Windows Xp For Mac

If you want to be able to run Windows XP for Mac, Apple has provided a perfect way to do so. In order to help ease Windows users over to their platform, Apple has released a free emulation software called Boot Camp that can run Windows XP (as well as Vista or 7) on a Mac computer running Mac OS X v10.5 or later.

The process of installing Windows is simple, and helps show new Mac users just how easy the operating system can be. Boot Camp is available either through direct download on Apple's website or through their App Store if you have a more modern version of their operating system.

It is free of charge either way. Once you download and install the program, which shouldn't take any more than a few minutes, you will need to have a Windows CD and license key to install in Boot Camp.

If you have a store bought CD that would work great, or you can download the OS from Microsoft's website and burn it to disc. Microsoft has been providing free Windows XP license keys to owners of Windows 7, so you may not even have to pay anything extra.

Once it is installed, you are good to go. Boot Camp emulates all hardware connections, so your Windows installation is going to be able to print papers, get online, or anything else you may need it to do.

The one thing to make note of is that your copy of Windows XP must include Service Pack 2 or later - earlier versions of the operating system will not run on Boot Camp. Other than that, you are going to have a seamless Windows experience that should suffer little or no slowdown from the emulation process, though Apple is betting you will end up liking their operating system better.
